What Help Does the Bridge Builders Network Provide?

GFA World’s Bridge Builders Network is a community dedicated to reaching people with the Good News who have not heard it and sharing God’s infinite love with them. Because of our faithful supporters, GFA World can invest in communities in the following ways:

• Clean Water: At GFA, we provide clean water in communities where drinkable water isn’t easily accessible. In many of these communities, people must walk hours to find water that isn’t contaminated. Oftentimes, this task falls to women and children, which keeps children out of school and women away from their important responsibilities. When clean water is accessible in a community, this spares the people from waterborne illness.

• Food for the Hungry: At GFA, we feed the hungry, caring for the poor and forgotten. Nutritious meals are provided to the children and families who need them most.

• Educational Assistance: At GFA, we help impoverished children access education and break the poverty cycle. “There are more than 250 million women in Asia today who are illiterate. It’s impossible for them to help their children with schoolwork. In addition, the instructions on medicine bottles, road signs, notices from the government and legal papers are all indecipherable—and this in a society that is increasingly dependent upon the written word.”[1] When women and children learn to read and write, doors of opportunity begin to open.

• Essential medical services: At GFA, we provide medical camps in remote areas where medical care is difficult to access or not available at all.

• Vocational Support and Training: At GFA, we train people in income-generating skills like tailoring, candle making, farming or raising farm animals, which can then be passed down to the next generation, helping break the cycle of poverty. These income-generating skills can provide hope for the family and make it possible for them to at least meet their basic physical needs.

• Sharing Hope in Jesus: At GFA, we understand that the Good News of Jesus brings lasting hope and peace to all people. We are honored to provide prayer and spiritual hope to a community, seeking to establish churches in places where there are none.
