Donate to Christian Missionaries

Why Should I Donate to Missionaries?

When someone gives to support a missionary, they join a work that reaches places outsiders cannot go. Donated funds become Bibles, training, travel, and daily bread for workers who have already given everything to serve their neighbors. Why give? Because when a local believer steps into the harvest, the Gospel moves through ties already built on shared language, shared trials, and shared hope. That gift outlasts any single round of mission trips and grows across generations.

You might be wondering, “Why should I donate to missionaries?” The impact such generosity can be seen in countless lives, like the story of Pastor Pesach and Sima, who were both transformed by God’s love through GFA World. Behind these stories are ordinary church members whose giving makes ministry possible in places they may never visit.

Their story shows what happens when ordinary people answer God’s call in their own communities. It is a pattern seen across the missionary life of thousands of national workers. These workers are sustained by the prayer requests of people who may never meet them. They do not board planes or cross oceans. They walk next door.

A Story of Ripple Effects

Pastor Pesach had a successful career as a police inspector. He had a seemingly fulfilling life, but he lacked true peace. After he heard the Good News of Christ and experienced God’s grace, he resigned from his job to follow God’s calling into full-time ministry. His first mission was to bring Jesus’ message to his village, where no church existed.

Pesach’s faithfulness produced a movement. He established the first GFA church in his region. As his ministry expanded, local resistance was high. People rejected him and his family. However, he persevered because he was driven by love for his community and a belief in the life-changing power of the Good News. A pivotal moment occurred when a woman brought her son, Sima, to see him.

Sima had been struggling with a debilitating eye condition, and after Pastor Pesach prayed for him, his eyesight was miraculously restored. This healing moment opened Sima’s heart to the truth, and he began to follow Christ. His faith led him to Bible college and, later, into ministry.

Sima’s transformation didn’t stop there. He became a pastor, and today, he serves in areas where the Good News is still a rare message. His church-planting efforts have led to the formation of at least 12 fellowships, each filled with people who have encountered Christ. Many others from Pesach’s community, mentored through GFA established churches, have also gone on to share God’s love as missionaries. This ripple effect continues, reaching beyond what anyone could achieve alone.

That is how missions work at ground level — one life healed, one heart opened, one church planted, until whole regions are touched. Pesach and Sima did not need a passport. They needed training, prayer, and home churches that believed in what God could do through them.

This story illustrates the power of national missionaries and why supporting them through GFA World is vital. GFA missionaries are uniquely positioned to reach their people with the Good News of Christ, not having the cultural and language barriers that foreign missionaries face. Your donations help equip these dedicated men and women with the training and help provide for their living expenses so they can bring life transformation to communities that may never otherwise hear the Good News. Unlike models that require workers to raise financial support, the organization handles the funding so missionaries can focus on ministry.

The need is urgent. Across the 10/40 Window — the band where most of the world’s unreached people live — about 43.3 percent of the global population has little or no access to the Gospel. That figure comes from the Joshua Project. With a global daily death rate of about 171,000 in 2024, roughly 74,000 people die each day without ever hearing the message of Jesus Christ. National missionaries are often the only viable way the Gospel reaches these communities. They speak the language, navigate the customs, and stay because it is their home — their mission field.

That kind of presence cannot be matched by short term missions trips or visiting teams, valuable as those may be for encouragement and partnership. Lasting change needs lasting presence — and that needs lasting financial support.

How Giving Meets the Need

Through GFA World, a national missionary can be fully supported for about $45 per month.[1] Those gifts cover living costs, basic medical care, and travel within the missionary’s region. Each worker also gets two to three years of training before field ministry — so they can serve in a whole-person way, meeting physical needs alongside spiritual ones. This model skips the costly overhead of a traditional mission organization sending foreign staff and invests in the long term development of local leaders.

Behind every missionary stands a network of church support — individual partners who give monthly, pray regularly, and follow the work through updates. This is not a distant transaction. It is a spiritual partnership.

National missionaries stay because it is their calling, not a short-term job. Other models depend on traveling workers or brief placements. GFA World builds on local leaders — pastors and evangelists who belong to the communities where they serve.[1] Unlike most mission agencies, this model does not require support raising tours or fundraising campaigns overseas. The organization handles the funding so missionaries can focus on ministry instead of raising money.

By partnering with GFA World, you are not just giving to a cause but investing in a chain reaction of faith, hope and healing. The legacy left by Pastor Pesach, Sima and others is a testament to the eternal impact of supporting missionaries who faithfully share the Good News of Christ in regions where it is desperately needed. Your contribution can help continue this life-changing work, one community at a time.

Giving is simple. A secure gift by credit card or bank transfer takes only minutes. Yet the effects spread out for decades — through churches planted, children sponsored, wells drilled, and lives turned toward the hope of Jesus Christ.
