How Can I Help Proclaim the Good News in Asia?
In South Asia’s bustling villages and rugged mountains, GFA missionaries journey daily to proclaim the Good News of Jesus. Their work takes them to people who may never have the chance to hear about the love, hope and salvation found in Jesus. These men and women are dedicated, resilient and deeply compassionate. They are willing to endure hardship and long hours to bring the light of Christ to the most remote places. Your support will help them continue their work.
Imagine the joy of a family in a mountain village, shivering as winter settles in, who suddenly receive a Winter Clothing Packet.[1] For just $50, you could provide a national missionary with warm jackets, sweaters, shawls and blankets to use or distribute. These simple items, which most of us take for granted, mean the world to families living in cold mountain regions. Wrapped in warmth, these families can experience God’s love tangibly, while missionaries can continue to serve boldly, unhindered by the harsh weather.
Consider, too, the impact of a bicycle. For many of our missionaries, traveling between villages means hours of exhausting walking on rough paths. For $110, a bike can transform a missionary’s day. It will allow them to reach three to four times as many villages and share the Good News with countless more people. It’s more than just a ride; it’s an opportunity to change lives by enabling missionaries to bring God’s message to more people faster and with renewed energy.
A motorcycle is a lifeline in challenging terrains. Priced around $1,300, a motorcycle allows two missionaries to travel together, conquer steep hills and cover large distances quickly. Missionaries can move from village to village and more easily bring the Good News to those waiting to hear it.
For only $25, you can help provide national missionaries with the “Tools of Hope“—a Bible, winter clothing, a bicycle or Good News literature. In South Asia, literature is treasured, passed from person to person, and read carefully. A packet of 200 pieces of Good News literature for just $1 can reach dozens of families who will read the words of Christ and share them with others.
Most importantly, a gift of $10 helps put a Bible directly into the hands of a new believer. This gift of hope is a guide that helps them learn more about Christ and grow in their faith.
