How Can We Be a Part of Sharing the Good News of Jesus with Those Who Have Never Heard?
GFA World is committed to sharing the good news of Jesus’ love with those who have never heard it. One of the most effective ways to do this is through national missionaries—local men and women sent to the least reached areas of Asia.[1] Their cultural understanding and connection to their communities make them uniquely equipped to spread this Good News in places where outsiders often can’t go.
Every day, national missionaries face immense challenges as they bring the Good News from village to village, but they overcome these obstacles with incredible love for people, and being from the countries they serve, they have some advantages that make them especially effective : They understand the language, customs and deepest needs of the people they minister to, allowing them to share the love of Christ in ways that resonate deeply and personally.
Through GFA World, many new national missionaries are being trained each year, and they are sent to minister in areas where the gospel has never been shared, making a tangible impact where it is most needed.[2]
The urgency of this mission cannot be overstated. Currently, 97 percent of the world’s population yet to be reached lives in the 10/40 Window,[3] a vast region stretching from West Africa to East Asia. In these areas, millions live without hearing the message of Jesus Christ, and over 80,000 people die every day without ever knowing His love.[4] The need for missionaries and support is more significant than ever, yet less than 0.05 percent of global church resources are directed toward reaching this part of the world. [5]
But there’s hope. National missionaries are stepping up to this challenge, and with the proper support, they can bring the message of Jesus to these dark and desperate places. You can sponsor a national missionary for as little as $45 a month, providing them with the resources they need to reach their community with the Good News. This includes funding for housing, Bibles and other essentials.
